Folding Arm Awning Installation – Beaumaris Secondary College
We completed the installation of a motorised Folding Arm Awning with a standard weather hood at Beaumaris Secondary College.
The project brief was to provide effective sun protection for students and local sporting clubs, particularly during cricket activities, ensuring a more comfortable and usable outdoor space.
This was a technically challenging installation, with the awning measuring 10 metres wide with a 3.5 metre projection, being installed onto a wall with limited structural strength.
To overcome this, our team engineered a customised solution. We designed and installed powder-coated steel posts, securely fixed into the concrete ground and connected through the wall structure. This approach allowed us to distribute the load effectively between the wall and the ground, ensuring both safety and long-term durability.
The end result is a clean, functional, and robust installation that delivers reliable protection while complementing the school environment.
